The Rent Boys get a new name – Goodbye M4 Self Drive

After nearly 10 years of trading M4 Self Drive, Swindon’s leading car and van hire company, have decided to re-brand and are now trading as Swindon Car & Van Rental.

Formally part of a larger Group trading under the ‘M4’ brand the company has been independently owned for a number of years now and decided to opt for a fresh new image.

The new brand also helps promote the other aspects of the company, namely our own on site Accident Repair Centre and Used Vehicle Sales.

Deciding to change names was a tough long thought out decision and wasn’t taken lightly as Branch Manager Stuart Andrews-Boyer explains ‘it’s always a difficult decision for any company to re-brand and for us with the M4 brand being so locally recognisable, especially for van hire, it was a hard decision. However these days we offer so much more than just van rental and wanted to create a strong local identity that’s all of our own.’

‘We also wanted to be cautious in our approach to re-branding and have gradually changed things and informed our regulars of the pending changes. We didn’t want any of our customers to think that we had been taken over, had gone bust or sold out – after all we are just the same old Rent Boys, at the same premises, offering great deals on car and van hire to all customers both old and new.’

The company’s re-branding exercise has included new vehicle graphics, new signage at our premises, new advertisng and a new improved user friendly website, and the steady upgrading of the entire vehicle fleet.
