Reducing our Carbon Footprint

You’ll soon find a new fill bottle next to the fuel tank on many of the hire vans at Swindon Car & Van Rental – but don’t worry you’ll still only need to add fuel.

We’re in the process of updating our hire fleet with vehicles that meet Euro 6 legislation, part of which means that all news vans must emit 55% less nitrogen dioxide using AdBlue technology. AdBlue is a fluid that works with the vehicle’s Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system to breakdown NOx in exhaust gasses turning it into harmless nitrogen, carbon dioxide and water.

An added benefit is that not only will our hire fleet be greener and better for the environment, Euro 6 vehicles are generally far more fuel efficient too making your hire cost even cheaper!

That certainly sounds like win-win to us 🙂
